A REAL UNIQUE EVENT AT THEATER@MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
SOLD OUT FOR LAURA PAUSINI
With Gloria Estefan, Miguel Bosé, Biagio Antonacci, Ivete Sangalo, Il Volo
TWO HOURS OF GREAT HITS IN 5 LANGUAGEST AND INTERNATIONAL DUETS TO CELEBRATE HER 20 YEARS OF CAREER IN THE TEMPLE OF MUSIC
Laura Pausini has charmed last night the Theater@Madison Square Garden New York. The most famous italian female Artist in the world, has chosen one of the landmarks of music to celebrate her 20 years of career and invited to join her on stage international artists, colleagues and friends.
In the temple of music, sold-out several days before the event, the Artist, who was visibly moved, opened the concert to the tunes of Se non te, one of the brand new track included in 20 The Greatest Hits, released on november 12, 2013 (Atlantic Warner Music).
Biagio Antonacci, Laura’s longtime collaborator and hits songwriter, marked the beginning of the duets series; together they showed their special complicity with Viveme, an always appreciated theme by the audience all over the world which led Laura to win the most coveted music award with, the Grammy.
A very long lasting applause acclaimed the entrance of Ivete Sangalo, the queen of Brazilian music, who accompanied Laura in an exceptional italian/portuguese version of Le cose che vivi, an opportunity to demontsrate, once again, the sincere – and mutual - love of the italian singer for the brazilian people.
Then, came the turn of the boys from Il Volo who have joined, for the first time, their voices to that of Laura to the tunes of In assenza di te, giving the audience from New York a fresh and intense version of a hit which is worldwide renowed in Italian, English and Spanish.
Great emotions gave the meeting on stage with her friend Miguel Bosé with Te Amaré, a duet Laura is so much tied to, that she decided to include it in 20 the greatest hits/grandes exitos.
They have enchanted the audience with a charming and exiting performance of this song, which tells about the deeper feeling, accompanied by the “ 20-the greatest hits orchestra”.
Last host, but just in order of appearance, the icon of Latin music, Gloria Estefan, with whom Laura sang Sonrie (Smile), duet included in the album the standards. Cheered on stage they shared together for the first time, the two artists gave a unique performance to an excited audience that thanked them with a very long lasting applause.
A real, unique concert-event where, in addition to extraordinary duets, Laura , totally dressed by the king of fashion Giorgio Armani, has traced her own history through her anecdotes and some of her greatest hits. From the most recent ones, such as Limpido Spanglish version, to other historical hits riarrranged in a new guise, such as se fuè salsa-versio. to those tunes Laura performs a compelling duet.
In an alternation of rock atmosphere and melodies, enhanced by the 14 arches on stage, the story backwards of these 20 years inevitably ends there, where it all began, with La solitudine, also introduced to the american audience in the new arrangement that Oscar winner Ennio Morricone wanted to give the ambassador of italian music in the world.
(in the audience there was the whole family of Maestro Morricone who lives in America).
In the front row to cheer laura also Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini and his family, great friends of Laura.
